COLOR DECISION AND PAINT SHEEN

Yellow, grey, blue, red or green. How many colors and shades! With so many options, there is an inevitable doubt: choosing the right color.

You can check the color books or on-line visualizer available from the major paint brands. And if the doubt still persists, you have the option to purchase a color sample (usually a 8oz can), paint a small part of a wall and you will be able to compare and make the right decision!

There is one final thing to be considered – select the paint sheen – matte/flat, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss, and high-gloss. Different from choosing a paint color, it is important to understand the benefits of when and in which space to use each sheen. The chart below indicates where each paint sheen is normally used, however the customer can always make a different choice.

PAINT FINISH / SHEEN

Wood Stain is a type of paint used to color wood. Does the deck of your home need a renovation? Do you want to update your front door or the interior stair handrail? Stain brings back the beautyof the wood. The typical process of wood stain in the interior or exterior includes, scraping old stain, power washing to remove dirt (exterior only), and sand to keep the wood smooth. Then finally apply a coat of stain. And for protection and a pretty good shine finish, apply three coats of polyurethane over stain.
